As with many Spanish supporting and leading actresses of the 1980s and 1990s, Ariadna Gil was discovered by director Bigas Luna. She made her feature film debut in his Lola (1986). She continued to appear in a variety of Spanish productions, ranging from comedies to heavy dramas.
