Date of Birth: 1 December 1926 On Broadway in the late 40s, she performed in "On the Town" and "Bonanza Bound" written and composed by then-husband Adolph Green. She divorced Green in May of 1953 and married actor George Gaynes in December of that year. They have been together over 50 years. Best known character film role was in They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) in which she plays Red Buttons' marathon dance partner who goes "squirrelly" and freaks out thinking there are bugs all over her. Is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. ... Guest-starred on husband, George Gaynes's TV series "Punky Brewster" (1984) as his love interest. Daughter-in-law of Iya Abdy.
